Thailand started mass vaccination rollout

Thailand on 7 June has started the mass vaccination rollout at a total of 986 vaccination

centres across the nation as the Royal Thai Government plans to vaccinate 50 million

people, or about 70% of the entire population, by the end of this year to build herd

immunity against the COVID-19 disease.

Thailand started the nationwide vaccination drive using two types of vaccines – CoronaVac

by Sinovac from China and AstraZeneca locally produced in Thailand by Siam Bioscience.

Both vaccines require two doses to complete the vaccination.

As of 07 June, 2021 Thailand has administered a total of 4,218,094 vaccine doses, including

total of 2,855,041 first doses and another 1,363,053 second doses.
